Project summary
Nottingham Trent University collaborated with UKROEd to assess the hypothesis that riders and drivers have different mental models of on-road danger and this impacts their ability to spot hazards on the road.
The project also explored whether understanding these differences in mental models can change attitudes between riders and drivers. The findings will help support behaviour change via a new NDORS’ National Rider Risk Awareness Course.
