Guidance for report writing

This guidance is specifically to help grantees produce the final project report. You just need to download the correct one for your grant type.

Dissemination

We want your work to reach and influence as wide an audience as possible.

To help ensure your work can be accessed, understood, and used by the road safety community and others, we have produced a Knowledge Sharing Toolkit to guide you through effectively communicating about your project. The toolkit includes guidance on how we work with you on social media and press releases.

We encourage you to start thinking about how to disseminate your work as early as possible. This editable template has been designed to help you develop a formal knowledge sharing strategy when requested by your Grant Manager.

More useful dissemination guidance

The following have been produced to help you with other aspects of project dissemination:

Video briefing guidance
Key annual road safety conferences and awards
Choosing the right communications channels
Planning your own engagement events

Project briefing

We ask some of our grantees to produce a short evidence, practice or policy briefing.

Briefings can increase the impact of projects by raising awareness of current research, interventions, and summarising evidence-based recommendations.

This workbook provides step by step guidance of what to include in your briefing, as well as tips and design advice.

If you have been asked to produce a project briefing, this will be agreed with your Grant Manager. If you are unsure, just get in touch.
