Road Safety Trust to launch Autumn 2025 Small Grants Round with new two-stage process

The Road Safety Trust will next month open its much-anticipated Autumn 2025 Small Grant programme.

For the first time, the Trust is implementing a new two-stage application process, which will offer early feedback to applicants and guidance for those invited to submit full bids.

A total funding pot of £150k will be available for grants of between £10k-£50k and, with just weeks to go until the window opens, grantees are encouraged to start thinking about their bids now.

The Trust will welcome applications from UK based organisations with public and professional associations, registered charities and university departments encouraged to apply.

Louise Palomino, Grants and Impact Director at The Road Safety Trust said: “We recognise that the amount of work that goes into an application can be a barrier to potential applicants.

“That’s why we’ve introduced this new two-stage process, to guide applicants through the process and to ensure only those bids most likely to succeed are asked to work up a full bid.”

The round for initial ‘Expressions of Interest’ opens on 23 September and closes on October 29.

Applicants will be informed by mid-November whether they have been invited to the full application stage and will have until 9 December to submit their applications. We aim to confirm decisions in late-January.

Guidance and application materials will be available on our website before the round opens.
