Lisa Townsend

Trustee, representing APCC

 

Lisa Townsend is the Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey. She is also serves as the national lead for both mental health and roads policing and transport for the Association of Police and Crime Commissioners. She is also Chair of the NPAS National Strategic Board.

Lisa started her working life as a member of parliamentary staff in the House of Commons. She has since held a number of senior positions in public affairs and communications including as a Director of a communications agency, and most recently as Head for Media and Communications at The Institute of Directors.

In response to the priorities of Surrey’s residents, her Police and Crime Plan focuses on prevention of violence against women and girls, reducing the impact of county lines and supporting victims and the vulnerable.

She is committed to promoting closer collaboration between community safety partners on mental health provision, funding specialist services in Surrey to increase the support available to all victims of crime.
