Project summary

The project will develop a reporting sensor with synchronised video data which will provide information about the location, traffic and nature of near-miss incidents for cyclists. The tool will be trialled on four cycling routes – cyclists will upload video footage of the near miss incidents with the results analysed by the project team. The reporting system will be designed to enable evaluation of interventions (such as Close Pass) and as an indicator of system safety.
