Project summary

This project assesses the evidence for the effectiveness of centre line removal (CLR) as a measure to improve safety for cyclists. Depending on the results of this analysis, it will develop a decision and design protocol for highways practitioners to determine whether particular sections of carriageway would be suitable for CLR.
