The Agile Fund

The Agile Fund supports smaller, time-limited projects that can make a practical difference to road safety in the UK.

It is designed for opportunities where a timely, proportionate decision can help unlock learning, test an idea, or respond to an emerging need.

What is the Agile Fund?

The Agile Fund is a dedicated grants programme from The Road Safety Trust. It sits alongside our Small and Large Grants programmes and is intended for projects that are smaller in scale, shorter in duration, and suitable for a more responsive funding approach.

This fund is especially well suited to projects that are focused, clearly defined, and able to deliver useful learning within a short timeframe. The limit for this fund is £20k for projects of up to one year.

What we will fund:

The fund is for practical activity that supports our mission to improve road safety in the UK. This may include:

  • Small-scale pilots or trials to test an approach.

  • Evaluation of existing road safety interventions or campaigns.

  • Educational initiatives, training, or awareness activity for specific groups.

  • Stakeholder engagement, including smaller events or conference contributions.

  • Communications, social media, or social marketing activity with a clear road safety purpose.

  • Translation, reprinting, or accessibility work for existing road safety resources.

  • Targeted campaign or dissemination activity in response to emerging evidence, data, or incidents.
