Gary Walker was appointed to the Trust on 14 October 2015 and is a member of the Audit and Risk Committee.
He is an independent business consultant specialising in business improvement across public, private and charitable sectors. He has delivered improvement and restructuring programmes for a global charity, a UK professional regulator, and led the turnaround of some of the most financially troubled NHS Hospital Trusts.
He has worked with RQIA in Northern Ireland to carry out a governance review of its 14 health boards and has advised NHS England on the implementation of change following a national review into culture. He has advised clients on acquisitions and supported newly purchased companies through their transition.
Gary has expertise in leadership, business improvement, corporate and charity governance and ethics. His strength is in working with senior teams to devise and deliver strategic solutions, service redesign and enhancing operational efficiency. He works with boards to deliver strategic change, high levels of staff engagement and exceptional organisational of performance.
He holds an MBA, graduate diploma in law and a postgraduate diploma in marketing.
